Extrude Feature
Extrusion is a method of defining three-dimensional geometry by projecting a two-dimensional section at a specified distance normal to the sketching plane.
How to Use this tool?
This is step by step to create a Box using Extrude Feature.
- Run The Program (Pro/Engineer Wild Fire) and then Press Menu File, New.
- Choose Part Type and fill name part (in this example, I was write Box) in field Name like this Picture.
- Change the Unit System by Press menu Edit in menu bar and press setup in sub menu and then select Units, if the Units Manager Dialog Option appear choose millimeter
- Select Extrude Feature
and sketching tool will appear in bottom of windows set a depth value with 50.
- Press Sketch tool
and choose Top Datum Plane as Sketching Plane and Right datum Plane for Right Orientation and then Press Sketch Button.
- Select Right & Front Datum plane as vertical and horizontal reference.
- Draw a rectangle by rectangle tools
and modify dimension to 50x50 mm by modify tools
. - If you have finished set dimension, press OK tools
and press green
checklist button location in right bottom corner to accept model.
- Press Ctrl + D to see Standard Orientation, and your model should look like this picture.
- Save your Model to continue operation in next tutorial.
